V/S/E Joseph Olorunnisola, Head of the USA Diocese has reaffirmed the Diocese’s commitment to organize a spiritually enriching Convention that will serve as a symbol of God and promote the values of Celestial Church of Christ. In an exclusive interview V/S/E Olorunnisola shed light on the preparations for the upcoming 2026 Convention, aptly named ASCENSION 2026. V/S/E Olorunnisola emphasized the significance of the previous Convention which successfully upheld the standards of God’s obedience. He assured that meticulous plans have been devised to ensure that the 2026 Convention adheres to God’s requirements. He revealed that God has specifically promised to restore lost glory during the four-day Convention, which is scheduled to take place from April 30 to May 3rd, 2026 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, located at 801 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island 02886, USA.

Furthermore, V/S/E Olorunnisola acknowledged that the Convention stand as a congress which serves as a gathering for the people, creating an atmosphere akin to that of a parliament. It is during this event that the progress of the USA Diocese will be discussed and all drafted laws will be reviewed and debated before being implemented into the USA Diocese bylaws. The Convention will provides an opportunity for individuals from all corners of the globe to come together and partake in the decision-making process, seeking heavenly blessings.

The Head of the diocese has promised an electrifying revival during the four-day event, accompanied by seminars led by seasoned theologians. The Youth will have the opportunity to engage in sessions aimed at educating, enlightening and fostering connections with the Elders, as they collectively chart the future of Celestial Church of Christ in the USA.

Furthermore, the Head of the Diocese has emphasized the preparedness of the Central Choir to deliver captivating performances during the Convention. He has also encouraged members to bring their families along, as the event promises to be an interactive holiday with open minds.

USA Diocese 2026 National Convention – tagged ”USA National Convention of Ascension”

Beloved of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

We are writing to follow up on our earlier Memo #10 – 2024 of May 22, 2024, in respect of our next National Convention. As previously advised, the USA Diocese Executive Council in joint sessions with the National Convention Board had met to deliberate and decide on the profile of the 8th bi-annual Convention of the Diocese. The Convention is a mechanism instituted to address the challenges, both contemporary and otherwise, facing or plaguing the church with a view to engineering appropriate solutions. Thoroughly researched papers are processed into blue-prints and filtered into the Diocese’s Byelaws and Manual of Instruction after the Congress/Convention approval. The Convention is the Congress/Parliament of the Diocese.

We are, therefore once again, writing to advise you that the above all-important 8th National event will take place in Region ‘A’ – New England District, commencing April 30 – May 03, 2026. The Executive Council of the Diocese met and approved the following levies:

  • Parishes are required to pay their levy of $600.00, $750.00 or $1000.00. (Depending on the chosen category of each Parish)
  • Adults (24 and above) Registration fee: $150.00
  • Youth (18-23 ) Registration fee: $100.00
  • Ages 10 – 18: $50.00.
  • Ages 0 – 10: Free
  • National Convention Board Members: $1000.00
  • EXCO. Members: $250.00

Parishes are required to pay their levy through their Regional Secretaries or the Regional assigned officers or pay into the Convention account stated below on or before October 31, 2025.

For individual participants, Registration Form can be completed accompanied by your registration fee as stated above on the Convention website: www.cccusaconvention.org. You may alternatively submit your name and email address with your payment directly to your Shepherd or the assigned officer in the Parish/State for onward transmission to the Convention Secretariat. Your Registration Receipt/Ticket will be forwarded to your email address and your package consisting of special T/Shirt and other convention materials will be delivered to you at the convention venue or be sent to you if you are unable to attend the convention in person.

The Convention Committee will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for all registered attendees staying at the official Convention Hotel – Crowne Plaza Hotel for the duration of the convention. To assist the effectiveness of our planning, it will be appreciated if your registration fee is received on or before October 31, 2025, at the very latest. It is important to emphasize that Registration will be shut down by November 30, 2025, for effective planning and logistic purposes.

No registration will be allowed at the venue or beyond November 30, for this Convention. Kindly note that the shepherd’s trip to the convention shall be sponsored by the parish.

Names of registrants/Participants shall be carried in the Program which also serves as an integral part of our Byelaws.

Perhaps we should once again express our profound appreciation to the over 487 members who attended the last convention held at Indianapolis Marriot Hotel – Region B, last year and those parishes that were represented by over 7- members. We are immensely grateful for your sacrifice in taking this Church to the pinnacle of honor. Please note that we expect larger representation from each parish this time.

Kindly note that all events will take place at 5-star + Crowne Plaza Hotel Rhode Island at a double-room discounted rate of $159.00 ($80.00 per person, per night), normal rate is $250.00 – $265.00. Please make an early reservation for your hotel and flight (preferably before October 31, 2025 ) to enjoy the discounted hotel rate and reasonable air fare. The Providence Airport (PVD is the Airport code) is 10 minutes to the hotel with hotel Shuttle 24×7 but the Boston Airport- one hour, thirty minutes drive away can also be used. The Convention shall be preceded by a mandatory shepherds/Church workers/Evangelists Workshop on Thursday April 30, 2026, 12.00noon to 4.00pm. The day will be capped with sumptuous dinner, fire seasoned revival and powerful musical explosion. Friday, May 01, is also richly packaged with presentations from seasoned bible scholars and renowned talents drawn from reputable Institutions.

Saturday, May 02, promises a high-profile symposium, workshops, Town-hall discuss/Questions and Answers, a breakthrough revival and musical talent-show. Saturday event will be capped with a wonderful dinner get together. All those special Brain-storming Committees already assigned with specific projects are required to turn in their recommendations by November 30, 2025, for further review and evaluation by the Editorial Board.Please bring your well-articulated questions, observations and suggestions to the Convention Ballroom on Saturday May 02, as you also listen to the presentation of Blueprints designed to update the Diocese’s Byelaws and Manual of Instructions from the Board of Trustees and collective wisdom of the Congress.
